Mycelium Fabric

Largely hidden beneath the surface of the soil, mycelia are considered the great communicators and connectors of the flora world.  Mycelia are part of the fungi family, in that they are the roots that produce mushrooms (though not all mycelia produce mushrooms).  They break down organic matter – thereby sequestering carbon –  and carry the resulting nutrients to plants of all types through their web-like network of roots They are the facilitators of a symbiotic ecosystem that sustains and supports the forests, fields and woods of the world.
